During the month of August, Thanksgiving Point is running a special on Tuesdays. You can get into any of the venues for just $2.00. We were invited by our friends, The Deveys to join them last Tuesday afternoon for an adventure. It was our intention to go to the dinosaur museum but the line was wrapped clear around the building when we arrived. We opted for the farm/petting zoo area.
The kids enjoyed the fun cow display. We wished they had the milking display working..
Jake looks really big on that poor old cow.
Jake and Kate reading about eggs.
The petting zoo had this really cool looking goat. Check out his sweet beard.
The kids enjoyed an outing with their friends and love to be outside.
Maggie is always pleasant an up for an adventure.
Lydia tree climbing. It was a warm day but beautiful out. Notice the lovely mountains in the background.
Not to be discouraged, the next Tuesday we headed out again, earlier this time. We arrived at Thanksgiving Point 30 minutes before they opened. The line was already long but we only waited for about 5-10 minutes after they opened.
Our old neighbors, The Crookstons met us along with our buddies, The Devey's. Our kids were so excited to see each other. It has been a while since we had seen the Crookstons. Our kids have missed each other a lot this summer. Last summer we spent many, many hours together enjoying pool time and popcicles.
The kids held hands and stuck pretty close together. (Lydie and her pal Carson)
Even though we arrived early it was still REALLY crowded. I would love to return on a day when all of the great state of Utah is not at the dinosaur museum.
The exhibits were impressive.
The activities were really fun but as you can see, very over populated.
The Devey's are talking about going again next Tuesday to explore the gardens but I don't know that I am up for another $2.00 Tuesday. It hurts me to say it but, I think I would rather pay full price and ditch the crowed. Cheers to the end of summer. One more week of fun to go.

That goat= Awesome!! So glad you took a picture so we could all share the joy. :)
(We decided the same thing about crowds on free day at the museum. No thanks!)
