4 Spring Chicks in the Sunshine

Here are the pictures from our spring break trip last week. WARNING, there are lots and lots of pictures.

This is our crew all dressed up to visit Poppy on campus. I thought we might as well represent. Go T-Birds! We joined Poppy on his Coke break at the University. The kids enjoy being on campus and were generally well behaved. Jake can't help but push the "easy" button on Poppy's secretaries desk. We have to go in and out quickly, otherwise we hear, "that was easy" over and over again.
Lydia and Evelyn have become such great friends. It is so good for Lydia. She is often the odd man out at home when Katie and Jake are getting along.
We had to get in our exercise while on vacay, so we spent a little time at the high school track. Bubby was giving Maggie a ride while Jake and I got in our laps.
Dan and Rosalyn were still working so we had the opportunity to help Bubby tend Andrew and Evelyn. We planned some fun Easter activities for them to do together.
Truth be told, my children have never dyed eggs. I know, crazy! I am such a freak about the mess and them spilling dye on their clothing.
They were very responsible with the dyes and had a super time. We will have to try again next year.

Maggie did manage to get a hold of the bowl of yellow dye. She pulled it off of the table and spilled it all down her brand new shirt. Thank goodness for spray and wash and that the dye was yellow and not pink.
Here they all are after a fun little Easter Egg Hunt. Jake enjoys the power in being the one old enough to hide the eggs.
Crazy Maggie is not one to sit and cooperate for a picture.
After spending the beginning of the week in CC we head south to chase the sun. It was a love 80 degrees. So nice and warm.
We had left the kids scooters in SG over Thanksgiving break. They were so excited to have them back. Here they all are scooting up and down the driveway at the condo.
Katie is super fast. She is by far our most coordinated child. (Sorry Jake.) She zooms in and out so fast.
We enjoyed some time at the arts festival visiting with family. The kids love playing on the rocks in the wading pools. Lyd was in heaven.

We kept Maggie in her stroller until almost time to go home to keep her from getting soaked. Surprisingly, she wasn't too into the water. It must have been cold. She did enjoy her own snow cone though. You can beat pink lemon sour.
Maggie was the queen bee when it came to hunting eggs. She has it figured out.
Isn't she so cute and little.
Her problem is, she wants to open the eggs right away instead of filling her basket and opening them later. This gives the big kids plenty of opportunity to find all of the eggs.
Checking out her loot.
Miss Evelyn.

We also enjoyed some time with the Wells cousins. We saw cousins Asa and Magnus, Spencer, Ally, and Sam. It was great to see everyone and get to spend time with our family. It didn't hurt that the weather was perfect. We love SG!

Hey, I recognize some of those places! (Nice shot of the kids on our wall, by the way.) It was so fun to have you all down--we'll have to do it again soon.
