Katie's Cowboy Day

Katie is winding up her last few days of preschool. Yesterday was cowboy day. It was quite the production. Miss Rie doesn't do anything small. The kids preformed about 4 songs and a cattle call. It was cute.

Miss Rie arranged for ponies to come for the kids to ride. The preschool kids got to ride the ponies in the morning for about 45 minutes (there is a field across the street from preschool). After the program the little brothers and sisters all got a turn to ride.

I didn't get a picture of Lydia riding because I had to hold her on the horse. She was not a big fan.

The kids did a really cute square dance as part of the program.

It was fun to see Katie sparkle and enjoy being part of the program.

Preschool has done wonders for her this year. She has learned lots and made tons of new friends. It was a good prep for kindergarten.

The kids had been learning their colors and numbers in Spanish this year at preschool. They made bracelets and had to earn the beads by saying the numbers and colors in Spanish. Katie was one of two kids who learned all of the colors and numbers in Spanish. Thanks Dora.

We love Ms. Rie's preschool and can't wait to turn Lydia loose on her next year. Poor Miss Rie.
