Over the past three weeks one or the other of the kids has been having their first day of school. Jake started three weeks ago, Katie a week later and finally on Tuesday of this week Lydia got her turn. She was so excited. She hovers by the door now from 8:15 when the big kids leave for school until it is her turn at 10:00. It makes for kind of a long morning.
Jake modeling his fancy new backpack. His dad insisted he have a new one since he had been using his red one since 1st grade. He chose this one in very big boy colors, olive green and gray.
The big first day of 4th grade. I can't hardly believe it.
This picture of out of order but I too lazy to drag it around. This is Lydia showing off her craft from the first day of preschool. Katie obliged us by joining Lydia for the photo.
This is Lydie on her first big day. Our cute neighbor Carson is in her class and we walk to school together. The highlight for Lydia was being picked up from preschool by Kori (Carson's mom). She said to me at least a dozen times on Tuesday that Kori had picked her up.
And finally here is Miss Kate on her first big day of Kindergarten. She is posing with her best buddy Kenzie who is in First grade. She was so excited to finally go to school with Jake. She loves it and is very good about doing her homework. She wants to do it right away on Monday afternoon even though it isn't due until Friday.
There they all are. School kids every one.

Hurray, we love the new floor! You'll have to start campaigning for Aunt Mellie's purple chair to hold all of your babies. And, I'd say that sassy chicken has Kade-o hair- what do you think?
Yay for school!!! I think I was more excited than Piper for her to start.
