The kids were all out of school on Monday this week for the MLK holiday. We did some chores around the house and then tried to go to a movie. It is usually 50 cents on Monday's but they have recently upped the price to 75 cents. Bummer! It is still only $3.50 for our whole family to go to the movies so off we went. The line was all the way up the sidewalk into the neighboring shopping center so we opted to come back a few hours later. We saw Where the Wild Things Are. It was really strange and quite depressing. Jake watched and the girls and Aaron ate lots of popcorn.
After dinner and baths we settled in for a competitive game of UNO. It is one of our favorites because everyone can play.
I think that Lydia even won this round.
Even Maggie got to play. I looked over and noticed that Katie had placed a card in Maggie's bumbo chair. I thought it was really cute. Katie is always very considerate of Maggie and makes sure that she is included.
"UNO!"
