For those of you who read evestigation, you already know that we all attended a Bees game this weekend. We had such a great time. It was great to be with family and enjoy the beautiful weather. We met Jason, Liza, Jasper and Ted, Mike, Melissa, Dillan, Bella and baby Audrey at the game. Daniel, Rosalyn and Andrew arrived at our house earlier in the day.

The kids completely enjoyed the warm sun and the freedom to run. Some enjoyed the running more than others. I love the opening shot of Katie. I think it screams princess at a ball game. Lydia loved running back and forth between the fence and her cousins. Overall a really nice afternoon.

After the game we had everyone over to our house for a BBQ. We fixed hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and salsa and fruit and veggies. It was kind of a last minute affair but turned out alright. The company was great and the children all play really well together, which helps a lot. We later found out that Aaron's brother and his family were at the game as well. We didn't see them. We need to communicate better. They could have partied with us.

Jake enjoyed some one on one time with big Ted. He did well with him and was a lot of help. Jake is a great big brother

The highlight of the evening for Miss Kate was getting to hold a real live baby doll. This is my cousin Mike's new baby Audrey. She was 8 weeks early and in this photo was offically due. She is so tiny and very sweet. I can't belive Melissa let the little kids hold her. Katie felt very special and was very gentle with baby Audrey.

We spent Monday working in our yard clearing space for our garden. It was REALLY hard work. We planted tomatoes and onions, lettuce and some flowers in our front yard. We hope that we will enjoy lots of lovely produce all summer long. Our neighbor had a bunch of paving stones they were looking to get rid of so we used them to surround our garden area. The soil here is very different than in St. George. We were never really successful in St. George so hopefully we will have great success here.

The kids were really great helpers, especially Lydia who napped all afternoon. The kids each chose some flowers from the store and enjoyed helping to plant them.

Jake has a vested interest in the garden this year...growing things is a requrement for scouts so he is into it. We are loving the warm weather and hope that you are all warm where you are, too. (not too warm we hope)

I need a full resolution copy of Princess Katie at the ballgame. What a shot. You are probably about a month early on your tomatoes, so be prepared to protect them when the weather turns, and it will.
