Saturday morning we ventured out with the rest of Salt Lake City for a trip to the zoo. There was promise of some great ice blocking event. The animals were all supposed to get ice to play with on this particular day. One ice cube is more like it. What a bummer. The ice was melted before we saw it. Despite the disappointment, Maggie look fab in her orange sun hat.
To change things up a bit we decided to take a ride on the train. I love this picture of Aaron and his MANY daughters.
Jake and I sat together.
Lydia was so funny. She has my VERY sensitive sense of smell. This is what she thought of the primate exhibit.
The girls were really into the map this trip. Every time we stopped Lydia would check. As if we haven't been to the zoo a thousand times.
Katie took a turn studying it as well. Funny girls.
Jake's favorite animal was the Red Panda. We got a pretty good shot of it. Cute.
The map again...and the obligatory shot on the tiger statue.
The highlight for Maggie this trip was sucking on this plum. I took the first bite out of it and she spent the next 30 minutes digging her tiny little teeth into it.
It was a warm day but we enjoyed our outing. My sensitive sense of smell managed to escape the reptile house this trip but only with the promise that we would spend a really long time in there next time. Whoa is me!

Piper is that way about the map too - as if you could lost in our little zoo! And if Max touches and crinkles the map... meltdown!
